Reminder Tues June 9th is the budget vote deadline. Ballots have been sent out by mail, please make sure you get them back before 5 PM on Tuesday and please vote for your school budget.

The district is going to be sending out (via email) some forms, that for this year, will suffice as our payroll verification and the sell back of half your unused sick time from 2019-20. These will have the provision for you to fill in your selections, virtually sign and submit/ return.

In a Google Meet earlier today, HS Assistant Principal Jamal Walcott reminded us that not only do we need to remain mindful of what our students may be dealing with at home as a result of the Covid19 pandemic, but also to be cognizant and sensitive to the additional tensions affecting our community in the aftermath of George Floyd's murder and subsequent protests. Imagine being a young person in our community right now?  In response to these recent national and local events, NYSUT is hosting a chat on Sunday, June 7th, and a virtual vigil entitled Together We Will Rise on Monday, June 8th.

To quote NYSUT Executive Vice President Jolene DiBrango, "As Educators & Unionists, we can harness our collective power to teach young people & make the world better & more just. We must become the agents of change our students so desperately need. Our union has valuable resources that can help."
