As we enter December, members of the New York State Retirement System should have received their Benefit Profile for the 2017-2018 school year. In addition to the paper copy of your benefit profile, the retirement system offers many resources online that can help plan for retirement, no matter where you are in your career. Whether you are in your final year or a couple years away, MyNYSTRS can be a helpful tool to help you plan ahead. To register to have access to your personal NYSTRS information follow these easy steps:
1. Click on the following link and click on the Register Now! button. https://secure.nystrs.org/sma/security/logon.aspx
2. Enter your NYSTRS EmpID #. This number can be found in your benefit profile or on top of your most current check stub.
3. You will also need to enter the last 4 digits of your social security number and your birthdate.
