A Message from President Josephine Libassi
As we worked together to set up 40,000 books to give away, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all who came out to assist! These First Book events are so rewarding on so many levels, as you know if you have helped out with any of them!! They are worth the effort!
Monday, May 15th is our full membership informational meeting which will be followed by our contract ratification vote in the HS auditorium. This vote is determined by a majority of those present; there is no provision for absentee ballots. (MITA Constitution) Understandably, some may not be able to attend. There will never be a day that works perfectly for all 880 of us, but please try to be there if you can! We will get started at 4:15.
There is a track meet at the HS that day, but we have coordinated with James Perrotta and the HS team to ensure that the bus lot will be available to us for parking. There will be a sign-in area in the lobby of the auditorium.
Tues May 16th is the budget vote and BOE elections.

Thursday, May 18th is our annual Dinner Dance. If you have not seen your building reps for tickets, there is still time if you contact them asap! Sure to be a fun night as we honor our 20-year members and retirees!
